Jerry was born on June 8, 1974, to Jerry Lee and Nancy Cole. Surrounded by music for all of his youth, Jerry's father played guitar and sang with The Betterway Quartet for over 30 years. His grandfather, Thomas Cole, was also a musician, so music was part of everyday life for Jerry growing up. The first touring band he landed a job with was Cody Shuler & Pine Mountain Railroad. He appears on two recordings with them, one of which was nominated for a DOVE award. After leaving PMR, Jerry's next road gig would be with Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, touring with them for three years. Then, the opportunity came up to play bass and sing with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver in December of 2018. Jerry took the job and says he is having the time of his life!
